Photographers and an iPad

January 19th, 2011 1 comment

An iPad can be a very handy accessory for photographers! It can hold your portfolio show you can show it to potential clients, you can use it to show some images which you have made the same day or just help you with your business documents on location. I can just go on with other applications but in the video below is an application where most of you wouldn’t have thought off.

Season Finale House M.D. shot with the Canon 5D II

May 9th, 2010 No comments

As some of you know the new hype in DSLR land is HD video. The great advantage, and also one of the disadvantages, is that you can work with very shallow depth of fields which allows you to get nice blurry backgrounds so the subjects really stand out. Although shooting in a high level with these cameras isn’t easy, stabilization for one, you can shoot wonderful video with it. 24 was one of the first major television series to use footage captured with HD DSLR camers. Now the production team of House M.D. has brought it to a whole new level by recording the complete final episode of current season with the Canon 5D mark II. Recently they have released a trailer of this episode so here you go, enjoy!

Time Laps video of ZVC Valaar 2 – Kaddish 3

February 27th, 2010 1 comment

Lately I am fascinated by time laps photography. I already have some nice ideas as a subject but I have no experience what so ever with this part of photography, I decided to have a practice run :-) .

The following video contains about 3800 pictures converted into a movie of  25 frames per second. I know I could have placed the camera at a better place but I didn’t have the necessary tools and I also didn’t want to leave it somewhere unprotected so a ball could hit my camera with all the unwanted consequences as a result.

Gear I took with me to Tajikistan

August 19th, 2009 1 comment

Hi,

Like I said before, I would post a video about what gear I took with me on my trip to Tajikistan. Because on this trip we had a support vehicle, we didn’t have to carry our stuff ourselves. This made it possible to use a backpack stuffed only with camera equipment.

The LowePro Flipside 400 AW did a great job! It is very well build! It protected my gear perfectly. During the trip I putted it down in the sand, on rock, plants, … In other words everywhere! The outside material of the Flipside 400 AW withstanded perfectly these hard conditions.

If you have any questions you can always leave a comment.

So here is a list of the things that were in my Flipside 400 AW:

  • LowePro Flipside 400 AW
  • Canon 30D and battery grip

  • 1 Sandisk Extreme III 4 GB CF card

  • 1 512 MB SD card
  • SD to CF converter
  • 5 batteries for Canon 30D
  • 2 batteries for Canon Ixus 850 IS
  • 12 AA batteries

Today I was browsing through Iphoto and I saw my album of Anouk @ Sportpaleis, Antwerp (21-03-2008). I took a moment to refresh my memories and decided to share some video footage from that night with you :-) . I chose the song Michel :-) . I hope you like it :-) .

Sorry for the lack of quality but it was made with my Canon Ixus 850 :-) .
